Tips for REPORTING

A key question when producing a report is – is it really necessary. Businesses seem obsessed with reports and a decent one can take half a day to produce. If a report is being produced on a regular basis then one must question its effectiveness as you are having to keep producing it. Does anyone actually study the report you have produced and moreover do they act on what it is telling them or is it done purely as a box ticking exercise? We have borne witness to the same information being reported by multiple people within an organisation.

We at BD23 favour live data reporting as this allows the report recipient to see the metrics they require on demand without the need for anyone having to prepare the report. This change will easily meet and exceed the requirements of the 1% Challenge.
