Tips for PROCEDURES

Firstly we need to consider whether there are procedures in place at all. If not then having them will lead to productivity gains. Where procedures exist then they need to be revisited regularly to ensure they are relevant, up to date and lean.

The 1% challenge asks all employees to scrutinise the procedures they are working to and consider if there are improvements that can be made to give a productivity gain. We also recommend that procedures are written in the form of flowcharts for ease of interpretation.
